The Sailor Kaga King of Pens Color Urushi Ebonite Sunflower Fountain Pen is a beautiful golden yellow and fitted with a 21K bi-color nib and gold-plated trim. Available nib sizes include Medium and Broad and uses Sailor's proprietary ink cartridges/converter (included).

Sailor is back with a brilliant reintroduction of the King of Pens Color Urushi Ebonite Fountain Pen series!!  The King of Pen Color Urushi Ebonite Fountain Pens come in 12 glossy Urushi coated ebonite colors. Urushi lacquer is made of sap from trees grown only in East Asian countries that take 15 years to reach maturity. After years of patience and care, the sap is then harvested and mixed into lacquer, hand applied to the ebonite pen surface, and kept in high humidity until it sets into a lustrous finish that is waterproof and extraordinarily durable.

Each of these Sailor pens has had Urushi applied in up to 12 separate coatings that requires proper drying and hardening time between each application. The total process can take up to two months!
