Trees are an important part of our ecosystem, providing clean air and essential habitats for all living creatures. There are numerous trees of the world and all of them have an important role in nature. Trees have contributed to our existence since the beginning of humankind and have long signified natural beauty, resilience, balance, longevity, and connection to Earth. From cleaning the water we drink and the air we breathe, trees have also sparked the inspiration for poetry, stories, and art. Monteverde USA® Trees of the World collection pays homage to these mystical and majestic living beings. The Collection features Giant Sequoia, Avenue of the Baobabs, and Dragon Tree.
The Avenue of the Baobabs is a prominent group of baobab trees in the Menabe region of Western Madagascar. Travelers from all over the world are drawn to this striking landscape, making it one of the most visited locations in the region and a place for conservation efforts. The trees in the Avenue of the Baobabs are thousands of years old, remaining as a legacy of the dense tropical forests in Madagascar. The Monteverde USA® Avenue of the Baobabs writing instrument is substantial in size and pays homage to these magnificent trees. The design is inspired by the baobab’s smooth tree trunk and compact crowns. Handmade of high-quality resin with beige and brown swirls playing along the barrel and cap, the pen evokes the simplicity and beauty of the baobab trees. A solid walnut ring with polished chrome accents and a clip adorn the cap.
The Socotra dragon tree or dragon blood tree is a dragon tree native to the Socotra archipelago, governed by the Republic of Yemen and located by the Arabian Sea. It has a unique appearance, with an upturned, densely-packed crown resembling the shape of an umbrella. This evergreen species is named after its dark red adhesive resin, which is known as "dragon's blood". The Monteverde USA® Dragon Tree writing instrument is substantial in size and features distinctive red and blue resin designs, unified to create unique pattern combinations. Red signifies “Dragon Blood” resin and blue signifies the vast skyline to which the trees tower. A solid walnut ring with polished chrome accents and a clip adorn the cap.
Giant Sequoia specimens are the most massive trees on Earth. While the present-day distribution of this species is limited to a small area of California, USA, it used to cover a wider territory. The giant sequoia is listed as an endangered species by the IUCN, with fewer than 80,000 trees remaining. The Monteverde USA® Giant Sequoia writing instrument is substantial in size and is inspired by the eternal beauty of these magnificent trees. The design combines high-quality resin in green-striped shades with a beautiful solid walnut ring with silver accents that adorns the cap.
